Kathryn Farmer is a Partner in the law firm of Rosenfeld Hafron Shapiro & Farmer. She received her J.D. from Loyola University in 1983 and since that time she has concentrated her practice in all areas of family law. Ms. Farmer was selected by her peers as one of the Top 50 Illinois Women Attorneys for the years 2008 and 2009. She has also been voted an Illinois Super Lawyer since the inception of this designation. She is listed in both Leading American Attorneys and Leading Lawyers in the area of family law. Ms. Farmer became a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 1994 and was elected to the Illinois Chapter’s Board of Managers from 1999 through 2002 at which time she received the President’s Special Recognition Award. Thereafter, Ms. Farmer held the offices of Vice-President, President-Elect, President and now holds the office of Past President of the Illinois Chapter. On the National level of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Ms. Farmer holds the office of Illinois Delegate to the Board of Governors. Ms. Farmer is also an active Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Farmer has lectured extensively on various issues of family law for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and other private organizations.
